Barangay Ginebra interested to acquire Beau Belga
Barangay Ginebra governor Robert Non bared their interest to acquire big man Beau Belga.
The 6-5, 225 pound wingman is now at the center of Rain or Shine’s negotiations as his contract is expiring at the end of the month.
Non told Solar Sports Desk that they are not directly talking to Belga, but has already sent feelers to Rain or Shine.
“Nagpadala kami ng feelers sa kanila. Just to express our interest kay Beau,” said Non.
Belga’s agent Danny Espiritu declared how his player has been asking for a better paycheck from Rain or Shine, which according to sources amount to a maximum pay of 420,000 pesos a month.
The Gubat, Sorsogon pride has a scheduled meeting with Rain or Shine top brass, but was cancelled Tuesday due to the non-working holiday.
“Hindi naman kami humihingi ng above maximum eh. Pero hindi naming itatanggi na nanghihingi kami ng 420,” said Espiritu.
“Complete package kasi si Beau. Big man na may shooting pa, may depensa pa. I think he deserves naman yun eh. MVP nga siya ng PBA vs Shanghai Sharks di ba?” Espiritu added.
The outspoken agent bared that Ginebra and Talk n Text are the top two teams that are in the hunt for Belga.
“Pero yung Globalport mukhang interesado rin,” he said.
